Company History

Audio Communication Consultants Inc.

is a family owned and operated business

founded in 1964.

Audio Communications Consultants Inc.(ACCI) was originally started by Walter L. Wilhelm Jr. and Mike Ciaramitaro.  Walter  took over the business in 1973, and kept the Audio Communications Consultants Inc. name as it was already well known in the industry at the time.

While Walter Wilhelm Jr. was in the United States Army he served in the Tank Core Division while also the Chaplain Assistant during field training or exercises.  While Mr. Wilhelm assisted the Chaplain, one of his duties was setting up the Sound & Communication systems, musical instruments needed for the weekly sermons in the field locations.

After leaving the Army Mr. Wilhelm discovered a need for communication system installation in the local and national markets for K12 Education & Upper Education markets, Convention Centers & Entertainment Facilities, Commercial & Industrial Applications, Healthcare Industry, along with College and Professional Sporting Facilities.  When he saw this opportunity he knew this was the business he wanted to be part of and make his career in.  This is when Mr. Wilhelm and Mr. Ciaramitaro came together to start ACCI as we know it today.

Over the years Mr. Wilhelm associated himself with the best in the Communications business and became known for not only the great system designs and installations he created, but his honesty.  Mr. Walter Wilhelm Jr. passed away in 1995, at which time his wife (Mrs. Shelby Wilhelm) and son ( Walter Wilhelm III) who was working within the company assumed the business and have expanded the business into what it is today.  Mrs. Wilhelm and Walter III are continuing to make ACCI a success with the same honesty and attention to details that Walter Jr. instilled in this Company.
